3 Habits I’m Going to Stack to Reach My Goals
2021 was a great year, but I’m determined to make 2022 even better.
I’ve got a few goals I’m determined to crush in 2022.
And after listening to “Atomic Habits” by James Clear I’m excited to try the habit stacking method he mentioned in the book.
Habit stacking is achieved by piggy-backing off an existing habit to make sure your new habit sticks.
Here are the three habit stacks I’m building ASAP and am determined to continue throughout 2022.
Exercise More
Each morning I wake up, pour a cup of coffee, and sit down to write.
I’ll normally write for 3 to 4 hours before I call it quits.
All motivation to go to my basement and exercise is zapped.
My treadmill mocks me from the corner of the room like a kitten taunting a mouse.
“Run on me you lazy asshole”
I hear it murmur whenever I pick up the television remote.
To combat this, I have purchased a desk adapter that connects to my treadmill and I’m going to leave my computer permanently on the desk.
This way whenever I write, I’ll be going for a walk too.
