When I was a dating coach, I had the unique perspective of merging the $5B+ dating industry with the world of direct response marketing.
It was only natural for me to transition into the business of freelance copywriting when I shuttered my coaching business to spend more time with my growing family.
I’ve had the privilege to write emails for some of the biggest names in the business and participate in six-figure launches for some of the most popular dating guides/programs on the market.
But there was something nagging at me with every email I would send.
A feeling that the whole truth wasn’t being shared with the men and women who purchased these products and guides.
The hype and exaggerated claims I was forced to write about what was possible from reading a 120-page ebook wore thin on my moral compass.
Especially given that I knew first hand as a student — and more importantly as a coach — about what it really took to succeed with women in the real world.
Although this article is addressing men, I think some of the advice can be applied to women as well.
