Are Newsletters a Fad?
When I joined Twitter at the end of 2020, affiliate marketing was all the rage.
Every time I opened the app I was bombarded with an onslaught of tweets proclaiming THIS product or THAT product was the path to financial freedom.
All I had to do was “tap in.”
It seemed like everyone and their mother was pushing affiliate links onto their timeline.
Flash Forward to Now…
Most of those accounts are dead.
The affiliate marketing Well has been “tapped” dry… for most.
From the moment I joined Twitter, I’ve been preaching the importance of starting an email list.
I was largely ignored.
(hence the graveyard of affiliate marketing accounts)
Now it seems newsletters are all people talk about on Twitter.
“Start a newsletter…”
“Monetize with sponsors…”
“Monetize with ads…”
And yes…
“Monetize with affiliate marketing…”
But is it a fad?
Are newsletters over-saturated?
Will people become “banner blind” to seeing Tweets about the latest and greatest newsletter to join?
