As a new writer to medium — who happens to be a white male — I totally see where you’re coming from.
Although I’m not sure if skin colour has anything to do with it.
(Maybe it does)
I’ve spent the last few months reading a lot of articles on this platform and trying to reverse engineer what makes articles work.
I notice that women writers tend to be slightly more polarizing than men.
I’m not sure if it’s the current political climate that has men more afraid to express their opinions and get emotionally raw…
But women writers don’t seem to have this reservation. There is a level of transparency that is more prominent in their words.
A few male writers I know do this well, but not many.
