Here’s why I’m rethinking the platform…
Last week, I shared this article by Matt Brady with my newsletter subscribers and posed the following question:
Does Substack Suck?
I’ve made a few attempts at writing on the platform but didn’t stick with it long enough to generate meaningful results.
And while much of Matt’s article reflects my own experience, I’m not so much of a curmudgeon that I completely ignore the feedback from my audience.
So, when I asked people to hit reply and give me their honest thoughts about Substack – two replies made me pause to think a little differently.
Readers are Conditioned to Pay for Content
The first reply that forced me to reconsider writing on Substack came from Jamie Northrup.
Jamie theorized that Substack readers may be more inclined to pay for premium content.
This could make it a profitable income stream with the right strategy.
To say my previous attempts at writing on Substack were haphazard and lazy would be an understatement.
