Why do so many people complicate it?

I just watched a video from a creator who revealed his email marketing system for selling digital products.

He gleefully shared his screen which displayed a chaotic and incoherent mindmap of lines attached to blocks connected to more blocks with more lines and the occasional circle tossed in for good measure.

In other words, it looked like a colony of rats built their nests inside a snake pit.

Incredibly stupid.

And highly unnecessary.

If you stumble across an “email expert” who attempts to teach you a system that contains more than 3 to 5 simple steps to sell your ebook or course, run the other way.

Here’s all you need to know…

It starts with your landing page.

To state the obvious:

You need email subscribers if you want to sell anything with email marketing.

Use your ESP and connect it to a domain for simplicity. Or use Carrd and embed your form which is still simple.

Write a 5–7 part email sequence.

You don’t need to go crazy with “triggers” that move people in and out of different sequences…
