Great question.

I've coached men as young as 19 /20 and others in their late 40's/ early 50's.

I think there is a strong belief among many men that vulnerability equates to weakness.

I can't say that I ever experienced age as a factor in how guarded men were.

But will say that older Men probably offered slightly more resistance to the idea of opening up emotionally.

( perhaps due to more social conditioning/relationship trauma)

I would say that regardless of age, the men who found more success in their relationships were the ones who really leaned into their vulnerability.

As an industry, dating advice for men and women has become a series of "rules" to be packaged and marketed in the form of courses, books, and classes.

Vulnerability allows you to jettison the rulebooks and show up from a place of deeper authenticity and integrity.
