I Introduced Myself on Substack and Instantly Attracted a Hater

Help me keep him humble and question his life choices.

I recently decided to become more active on Substack.

And, much to my delight, my very first “tweet” or “post” or “stack” or “whatever-the-heck-you-wanna-call-it” instantly attracted a hater.

This is good news for a few reasons:

  1. It tells me never to trust anyone with the last name “Hilgendorf”
  2. It suggests polarizing content will likely work like gangbusters.
  3. I get to race past 700 followers and rub it in his face.

And about that last point.

This gem of a fella – who is definitely an absolute joy to be around – is currently sitting at 700 followers.

And do you wanna know the best part?

When you threaten to embarrass trolls publicly like this, they always delete the evidence so they have plausible deniability.

And that’s exactly what Hilgendorf did.

He deleted his comments.

But, because I knew he would, I quickly snapped those screen shots above before the deed was done.

So…

If you want to help me put this troll in his place, follow me on Substack so I can DM him with the screenshot and evidence on Christmas Eve.
