Is Medium Simply a Numbers Game?
And will consistency be rewarded?
During the month of October, I wrote a grand total of 3 articles for Medium.
In September, I wrote a total of 8 articles.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that I made twice as much money from the platform in September as I did in October.
Over the past few months, I have (mostly) ignored the platform and put my time and attention into creating, launching, and marketing two separate digital products.
I’ve also been working on a content plan for a YouTube Channel that I have started.
But I have to admit…
I’ve been feeling guilty about neglecting my writing over here on Medium.
And that got me thinking…
Is Medium Simply a Numbers Game?
The answer to this question is:
Kinda, but not totally.
Medium rewards you when somebody READS your article to the end.
To the best of my knowledge, it doesn’t reward views, claps, or comments.
So naturally, you have to WRITE content that engages and entertains people so they want to read until the very end.
