Race to $1K Per Month on Medium
A friendly competition with a member of my Inner Circle.
Early in 2023, I stepped away from writing on Medium.
Because I want to spend more time with my kids – instead of being chained to a computer all day – I’m making every effort to scale back my freelancing biz and build a simple newsletter business writing about my passions.
When I left, I decided to try building an audience over on 𝕏 as I noticed a few people having great success with the platform.
I’m not sure if was the idiotic political takes…
….or the fact that every tweet and account started to all sound alike…
…but I grew bored with the Bird app and decided to return to Medium.
I’m glad I did.
The only drawback was that my earnings had plummeted pretty much to zero.
Success on any platform means you need to remain consistent with posting content, so it wasn’t too much of a shock to see my hard work eventually fizzle out.
It didn’t take long to bounce back.
At the end of August, I decided to return to Medium and double down on the platform. Bouncing back to a $500 per month didn’t take long because I have a damn…
