As much as I respect my friend @GabeJohansson we disagree on something concerning email marketing.

Now let me be clear.

Gabe writes killer emails.

And if you’re not on his list, you’re missing out.

He drops value daily.

He’s also got a fantastic guide you should check out if you’re even a tiny bit serious about making money from email.

But yesterday he tweeted the following:

NOT A USEFUL METRIC???!!!

Let me ask you something…

Besides it being the ONLY indicator you have to measure the overall health of your email list…

Do you think it would be useful to know:

  • the exact percentage of subscribers that open your emails?
  • the exact subjects that people are interested in learning from you?
  • how effective you are at capturing attention?

I could go on…

But I won’t.
