Why Email is Better Than Twitter for Affiliate Marketing
Twitter SUCKS!
That was the subject line of yesterday’s email.
And it was enough to give me a decent open rate.
In fact, that’s just one of the reasons why email is so much better than Twitter when it comes to affiliate marketing.
But I don’t want to get sidetracked…
When I launched “The Persuasion Code” I recruited a few affiliates who had been asking me to release a copywriting course.
(FYI – it’s gonna be soooo much more than that)
Combined they had over 50K FOLLOWERS receiving their promotional tweets.
Meanwhile, I had a measly 97 subscribers on my email list.
You would think that Twitter would have CRUSHED it with WAAAAAYYYY more sales than email right?
WRONG!
Email had exactly 2 more link clicks to the sales page than Twitter
(that’s basically equal traffic with no statistical significance)
And it converted those visitors TWICE as well!
Think about that for a second…
For every 100 link clicks in email you stand to make 5 or 6 sales…
