And I’ve coached a few heartbroken women who could never seem to understand why they constantly pick men who would end up sneaking around behind their back.
“Am I so unlovable?” My friend Lisa sobbed over coffee.
“No,” I said, “You’re just not giving him what he wants.”
The Moment of Impact
It was a Saturday morning.
Lisa had returned home from a conference out of town.
Kevin, her boyfriend, was fast asleep in their bed.
“It was 1 PM in the afternoon,” Lisa told me, “He never slept in, so I figured he just wasn’t feeling well.”
Lisa left her unpacked suitcase in the bedroom and quietly closed the door, careful not to wake him.
She made herself a cup of tea and moved to the soda where she could curl up and read her book.
That’s when she noticed it.
