Yep. I think when it comes to the solopreneur creator space you’re going to see people gravitate towards free low-tech options like YT, TikTok, LI, 𝕏, IG and of course Medium.

The less technicality and perceived barriers, the better.

I know for myself, I simply wouldn’t have the time or energy to hassle with a self hosted blog.
